Registration 1. I have a younger child. Should I bring hiim/her? Do I need to register him/her? Youth as young as 5 have attended the school and LOVED it! They are out praying for people and it is amazing how God uses them. Youth 12 years old and older must register and pay for the school. Children 11 years old or younger may sit in the school at no charge under the supervision of their parent(s). There is no childcare provided. 2. I registered for the school but now I cannot come. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?Registration is non-refundable as was stated when you registered. You may transfer a registration to another person of the same status by emailing us at office@powerandlove.org by the Friday before the beginning of the event with the Name and the transaction # of the person canceling and the Name, Address, Email address, Church attend and Phone of the person who will be taking your place. Transferring of registrations cannot be done at the door. 3. I attended a school of Power and Love in the past. How do I register for this school? We are glad to have Alumni come back to schools of Power and Love and help us! Remember, your job will be to team up with the "less confident" ones during the times of "Love in Action." If you paid in full for the school and you attended all the sessions, you can register for this school at no charge. You MUST: 4. What is Power and Love's definition of "Paid in Full?" Someone who paid the total amount the school fee would have been at the time you registered. 5. I attended a school of Power and Love in the past but received a discount. How do I register for this school? If you paid for and attended a full school in the past (not just one or two sessions) but you did not pay the full amount (you received some type of discount), then you are eligible to become a "Fully Paid Alumni." The amount you still owe depends upon a number of factors including the price of the school at the point you registered and how much you paid. If you email us at office@powerandlove.org, we will be able to tell you what that amount will be. Basically, we will be calculating your balance due by subtracting the amount you paid from the amount you should have paid and adding on a $15 processing fee. Once you know this amount, send your check payable to Power and Love Ministries, 2359 Tradition Way, Redding, CA 96001. 6. I attended part but not all of the sessions of a School of Power and Love in the past. Am I considered a "Fully Paid Alumni?" No. A "Fully Paid Alumni is someone who has attended a full school and also paid in full. 7. I want to attend this school but cannot afford the registration fee. Is there any way I can still attend? If you cannot afford this School and would like to attend, we have limited Financial Assistance. If you are interested in being considered for a Financial Assistance, please FILL OUT THIS FORM and we will be in touch with you shortly. Please DO NOT try to register for the school yet until after you have applied for Financial Assistance and heard back from us. 8. What if I can only attend one or a few of the sessions? Is it still worth attending? The feedback we have received from people who have attended only 1 or 2 sessions is extremely positive. Often we have a company working with us to video and audio tape the sessions so that you can purchase the ones you missed. 9. I cannot attend the first one or two sessions. Would I be in the dark to begin attending on Wed afternoon or Thursday morning? Although the sessions to some degree, build on one another, we encourage people to attend whatever sessions they can. The closest airport is Memphis International Airport which is 20 - 30 minutes away. Alternately there are airports in Nashville (3 ½ hours, 200 miles away) and Little Rock, AR (2 ½ hours, 135 miles away). Airfares for flights into Nashville and Little Rock are typically lower than those for Memphis.. 2. Is Power and Love able to help find me transportation from the closest airport to the host church? Unfortunately no. Power and Love has 2 part time staff and we are not able to help with these arrangements. 3. What if I don't have a car? How will I be able to go out during the times of "Love in Action"? We will pair you up with someone who has a car. 4. Is there a shuttle from any of the hotels to the School location? Usually not but you would have to contact the hotels to see if any of them would provide this service for you. 5. Will I be close enough to walk from any of the hotels to the School location? Please check our local hotels web site to see the distance the hotels are from the Host Location. You may want to double check this by also calling the hotel. Lodging 1. We are not able to coordinate this ahead of time but what we can do is this. If you come to Tom Ruotolo, the School coordinator, on Wed morning of the School, he will make an announcement to see if anyone would like to do this with you. 2. What is the closest hotel to the host location? Please check our local hotels web site to see the distance the hotels are from the Host Location. 3. Is there a way to find me a host home so I do not have to spend money on a hotel? Each attendee is responsible for making their own lodging arrangement. At this time we do not have the resources to coordinate these types of accommodations and cannot speak for what a Host Church or Co-Sponsoring church would or would not be able to offer. Love in Action Schools of Power and Love are designed to help you live out love every day of your life! Love in Action is the time between sessions where we go out to be around others, apply what we are learning, and watch how God will work through us as we step out in love. 2. Does someone tell me where to go during the "Love in Action" times? No, "Love in Action" is simply you living out your life in Christ around other people and applying what you are learning. If you are hungry, find a good restaurant! If you need to buy a pair of shoes, go to a shoe store! We do not tell you were to go. We DO encourage you to step out to love someone with the Love of God! 3. I am from out of town. How will I know where to go during the "Love in Action" times? Power and Love will give you a map of area restaurants and possible places to go during Love in Action. Also, a local person will be available at the school to help you with directions. Another possibility would be for you to team up with someone who is from the area! 4. I have never done this type of thing before. Will someone be available to help me during the "Love in Action" times? We will do our best to pair up the "not as confident" ones with the "more confident" ones. We can't guarantee this but we will do our best! 5. Will we have an opportunity to go out with one of Speakers? Due to trying to equip the body in the most effective and efficient way, our goal is to make sure that we get as many Senior Pastors and Full Time Ministry Leaders paired up with the Speakers as possible. With them being trained at the school and first hand by the Speakers, they can then take this back to their congregation and equip them. We wish we had enough "Love in Action" times for everyone to participate with the speakers, however, because of limited time slots available for the Speakers to go out, we feel this is the best way to maximize the impact that they can have on the body as a whole. So, be thinking of your questions and we will collect them Saturday afternoon. 2. Will we have an opportunity to go out with one of Speakers? Due to trying to equip the body in the most effective and efficient way, our goal is to make sure that we get as many Senior Pastors and Full Time Ministry Leaders paired up with the Speakers as possible. With them being trained at the school and first hand by the Speakers, they can then take this back to their congregation and equip them. We wish we had enough "Love in Action" times for everyone to participate with the speakers, however, because of limited time slots available for the Speakers to go out, we feel this is the best way to maximize the impact that they can have on the body as a whole. 3. I have sickness in my body (or I would like to bring someone who is sick). Will you pray for the sick? The sick are prayed for at the end of each evening session. We cannot guarantee that you will be prayed for by one of the speakers. The emphasis of the meetings are to release the church in praying for the sick and we regularly see the sick healed as they are prayed for. Come expecting God to touch you and we believe you will be! Other 1. Do you Live Webcast the Schools of Power and Love? Possibly! We hope to do Live Web Casts of a few schools in 2011 but this is not decided until a few days before the school. We will send out an email to our email list if we are going to do a live Web Cast so be sure to sign up on our Email List if you are interested in being kept informed! 2. Will the School we attend be recorded and available for purchase? Our goal is to record all schools and make them available in MP3, CD and DVD format. However, this is not always possible. If we are unable to record a School, we do bring along a “Best of Power and Love” Series that we make available for purchase in MP3, CD and DVD formats. The media can be purchased while at the school or ordered later through our Online Store.
