Audio/Video Apprenticeships
Power & Love Ministries is now offering technology apprenticeships for people interested in learning more about audio and video for live events. These apprenticeships will last for 4 Power & Love Schools. Apprentices will learn the basics of live sound, recording sermons, webcasting video, live video feeds, and recorded video. Apprentices will have hands on learning as they work with the media team to record the live Schools of Power and Love. Once completed, apprentices will have the basic knowledge and experience to run their own audio/video system. Each apprenticeship is a one-on-one custom tailored intensive program designed to hands on train leaders in church technology. Each school apprentices will be operating top of the line equipment in the audio/video industry.
PREREQUISITES:
- Apprentices should have basic computer skills: be able to surf the web, understand file structure, and be familiar with basic computer functions (save, cut, copy). Preferred but not required - familiar with Mac and PC formats.
- Apprentices should posses a desire for technology and how technology supports ministry. Should be somewhat tech savvy.
- Apprentices must be able to commit to 4 consecutive schools, Tuesday - Saturday from 8am to 11pm each day.
- Apprentices are responsible for covering the cost for their own travel, lodging, and food.
ITINERARY:
School 1
Apprentices will be introduced to the basic functions of each piece of equipment used in professional A/V scenarios.

Analog vs Digital
Set up and Breakdown
AUDIO:
Gain Structure
Frequency Identification
ADSR
VIDEO:
Exposure
White Balance
Focus
School 2
Apprentices will be introduced to running a volunteer crew and video production.

The art of audio and video
AUDIO:
Mixing, Monitoring, and Outboard Gear
VIDEO:
Camera Angles
Video Producing and Mixing
School 3
Apprentices will review everything learned so far and will begin focusing on specific interests and topics. Apprentices will also begin training and leading lay leaders, volunteers, and possibly a 1st school apprentice.

Apprentices will be mixing video and running entire volunteer camera

School 4
Apprentices will run an entire school with supervision. Apprentices will also be training and leading lay leaders, volunteers, and possibly a 2nd school apprentice.
